A 3-position swaddle pod is a wearable swaddle that gives you three arm configurations in one product - Arms Up, Arms Down, and Arms Free. Unlike a traditional swaddle that fixes your baby in one position, a 3-position pod lets you choose and switch based on what your baby needs. Snugzie™ is designed for babies from birth through 6 months, covering the newborn stage all the way through the swaddle transition.

A traditional swaddle whether a muslin wrap or a standard swaddle blanket fixes your baby in one position and offers no flexibility as they grow. Snugzie™ is different in three ways. First, it offers three arm positions so you can follow your baby's preference instead of guessing. Second, the dual-pull two-way zipper makes dressing and nappy changes faster and less disruptive than unwrapping and rewrapping a muslin swaddle. Third, the roomy leg pouch keeps your baby's hips in a natural frog-leg position, reducing the risk of hip dysplasia, something a flat swaddle blanket cannot guarantee.

Snugzie™ comes in two sizes based on your baby's weight:
• Size S - 3.5 to 6 kg (approximately 0 to 3 months)
• Size M - 6 to 8.5 kg (approximately 3 to 6 months)
Always size by weight, not age. Babies grow at different rates. If your baby is between sizes, size up. A slightly roomier fit is safer and more comfortable than one that is too snug.

Most newborns naturally prefer arms up. Keeping them in this position does three things: it suppresses the Moro (startle) reflex that causes babies to wake themselves up, it gives them a snug, womb-like feeling that is calming during the fourth trimester, and it allows babies to self-soothe by bringing their hands close to their face. The result is longer stretches of sleep for baby, and more rest for you.

Bamboo viscose is one of the softest natural fibers available. It is significantly softer than standard cotton and gentle for the most sensitive newborn skin. It is naturally breathable, which helps prevent overheating during sleep which is one of the key safe sleep guidelines. Our blend of 70% bamboo viscose and 30% cotton gives you the softness and breathability of bamboo with the structure and durability of cotton. No harsh chemicals, no rough textures, just fabric that feels as good as it performs.

Snugzie™ is designed with safe sleep as the foundation, not an afterthought. The roomy leg pouch supports the natural frog-leg position, reducing the risk of hip dysplasia. The snug upper body fit suppresses the startle reflex without restricting breathing. It eliminates loose fabric near the face. As with all swaddles, Snugzie™ should always be used with baby placed on their back on a flat, firm sleep surface. Transition to Sackie™ once your baby outgrows Snugzie™.

Snugzie™ has a TOG rating of 0.5 which is ideal for warmer climates and AC rooms. TOG measures thermal insulation; the lower the number, the lighter and more breathable the product. At 0.5 TOG, Snugzie™ is designed to keep your baby comfortably warm without overheating, which is especially important for safe sleep.

Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry, lay flat or hang to dry to maintain the shape and softness of the bamboo fabric. Cool iron if needed. Do not bleach. Washing inside out will help preserve the color and fabric quality over time.

Yes. Snugzie™ Size S starts from 3.5 kg, which covers most full-term newborns from birth. If your baby is premature or under 3.5 kg, please consult your pediatrician before use.

To maintain the quality and feel of your bamboo clothing, we recommend the following wash instructions:

  • Cold water: Always wash in cold water to preserve the fabric.
  • Gentle cycle: Use a gentle cycle to minimize wear and tear on the fabric.
  • Zip/button up items: Ensure zippers or buttons are closed to prevent piling and damage.
  • No dryer: Do not use a dryer. Instead, hang or lay flat to dry to avoid shrinkage or fabric deterioration.
  • Avoid brushes and bleach: Do not use brushes or bleach, as they can harm the bamboo fabric.
  • Gentle cleaner: Use a mild, gentle cleaner that’s safe for your baby’s sensitive skin—less is more.

Hand washing is also an alternative if you have the time. If you choose this method, be sure to thoroughly rinse all soap from the fabric to prevent discoloration and irritation.
